Traditional Camping Shot

I know, I know, you have seen 3000 shots of the dogs laying on my lap while on a camping trip.  But I snapped this one to capture a very proud moment. We went camping with several other families this weekend, which meant “strangers” a plenty were sitting right outside the camper, or actually opening the door and coming inside. THIS is the photo I snapped after one of the kids walked into our camper. Not a peep or budge!...

One Week To Go For Blue

Blue settled in quite nicely after we unpacked and set up the camper for the weekend. The closer she gets to whelping, she always becomes a bit more reclusive. She hides under the couch to nap at home, but in the camper, she sleeps in one of the doggy beds we have set out – A doggy bed for ONE! This time next week, she will be secluded in her whelping box. Until then, she is doing her typical pre-pop...

Early Summer Treat at Blue Springs

If I spoke dog, I would tell him there will be enough for him and all of the others to snack on for the next 2 days! This...

Rane Is Doing Great

If you have been following along on Rane’s socialization progress, I am here to say that she is doing AWESOME! She adores me and the kids, only having a bit of anxiety when my husband enters the room. Clearly, she is not that comfortable with men. But to help her, he has been feeding her scraps from him plate while eating on the couch, warming her up to coming to him when he calls. Periodically she will still bark at him when he enters the room, but he have seen major improvements. She is also less barky when strangers come into our home or within her comfort-zone. During camping trips, we take her outside with us and on walks throughout the park to get her more...

Total Bag of Juice!

Total Bag of Juice!

Just look at Capri!!! When I said she popped, SHE POPPED! Currently three times the bulge of Blue, I seriously cannot image how she is going to make it another three+ weeks. Holy Moley! She is huge – and clearly uncomfortable. She is sporting what I call preggy breaths. That being, heavy and labored breathing with under-toning sighs, especially when being picked up.  Poor...
