The Yard Guards

A select few of our dogs think they are German Shepards when it comes to protecting our backyard. To a tiny breed dog, our 8′ privacy fence must look like a high-rise building and the fact that the kids that are playing on the other side of it can be heard as clear as day do NOT make our yard protectors very comfortable.
The moment we open up the back door to let them outside, Dude, Blue, Chicatoo, Buddy and Cosmo run to the high part of our yard – The far right corner by the huge Oak tree. They stand there, hairs on the back of their neck erect, and bark off warnings to the voices. They are as predicable as my kids and their inability to pick up their dirty clothes off their bedroom floors.!
