Going Out With A Bang
After learning so much from Dr. Hutch at the symposium and using a few of his pointers, we decided it was time for Colada and Ace to give it another go. Their last litter was so amazing, I am hoping for a repeat with more smooth coats. And since Ace queued us in on the fact that Colada is totally prime, before the ball started to drop, we plopped the two into the same room to see if we can say good bye to 2011 with a bang. In the midst of the holiday hustle bustle, family visitors and everything else that revolves around Christmas, we have another visitor that should be here as we ring in the new year. I noticed the boys spending a lot more time with Colada a week ago today. The swelling and spotting kicked into gear Sunday night and now we are in for the long haul. I see full on ripeness before the weekend is here. My prediction is that she will bring Blue is early and we will send the entire month of January with boys and girls separated. Every Christmas, Santa brings our Chihuahuas a whole slew of new toys. He wraps them ever so carefully, so that they can easily open them. Again, since the tree is in the room they don’t have access to, this year Santa placed their gifts in their dog bed turned toy box. Our older dogs, seemed less than interested in doing the work this year. They looked at the wrapped toys, sniffed and the walked away. It was the puppies that had a complete blast! They ripped into the paper like it was doused in bacon fat. Some of the toys were twice as long as the pups but that didn’t stop them in the least!
