Hitchhicker Horrors

It’s that time of year again and Quikster has learned the joys and pitfalls of play-sessions in our backyard when we haven’t put down the weed killer. Those green little hitchhikers attach to every part of their bodies that are covered with fur. Usually after any of the dogs come in during hitchhiker season, we spend 20 minutes picking them off.

Today, Quik ran in and immediately started to try to rub them off of himself by dragging his body across the dog bed. When I called his name and he looked up at me with his adorable eyes and half cocked head, I let out a huge chuckle and of course, grabbed my camera. This photo captured only have of the little suckers still remaining – And yes, I did pull the rest off of him. Just too entertaining to not partake.
