Both Stella and Breezy need them some socialization with strangers, both human and canine alike. When Kristie offered to let them spend the day up at the shop while Alexis is there I jumped all over that!
We have done it all week and I can already see a difference in their confidence. It’s truly an amazing opportunity that challenges the girls to step out of their comfort zone and meet new people and dogs every day – Perfect! We even kicked things up a notch when Breezy wouldn’t come out from under the chair – so attached to someone OTHER than Alexis was the solution. Guess what? It worked! And now we begin feeding her from our hands, not the bowl. Hand feeding her will help gain trust and confidence and also build her focus. We are well on our way.
