Today was filled with so many first for me I’ve lost count. I suppose we should start with the fact that this is the first time I have ever traveled to a dog show without my daughter. When I say travel I mean more than an hour and a half or two hours. I drove all the way down to West Palm Beach this morning! And I brought dogs – PLURAL! Both Breezy and Tino were entered for the entire weekend and to be quite honest I was initially going to simply scrap the weekend. That’s when great friends come to the rescue and talking into things you didn’t think you do! Thank you dear great friends mine!
First I was gifted with an opportunity to not have to drive the trip alone. Tori needed away down south to be able to help Renée this weekend so course I volunteer. She also would love to show crazy Saturday and Sunday. What more could I ask for? Tori was a blast on the ride, making the almost 4 Hour drive seemingly cut in half! Lots of great tune jammin’ and even more laughs.
Today was the toy breed show so Mr. Tino did his thing. Clearly not the judge’s cup of tea but that’s okay because he’s mine, that’s for sure! He was a perfect gentleman on the table and he looked amazing going around the ring – Enough so that we went Reserve! I couldn’t have asked for anything more from him. I look forward to the rest of the weekend showing him.
My next first was staying in the hotel that myself! Eeeekkkers! I will say that I was a tad creeped out at first. But then I realized I had Breezy there to protect me. She seemed rather content with the quite room and chance to have an entire bed to herself. Heck, that’s exactly how I felt after I settled into bed! I think I like this on my own thing!!!!
