I have said it three billion times – when it comes to dogs, EVERYTHING is genetic. When you have the chance to watch multiple generations grow, the evidence is SO in your face. Body size, shape and temperament are obvious from the beginning – it’s the quirks that appear when they are a bit older.
Dewey has the body shape of his daddy Mo. Tiny and skinny with long legs. He has this coloring from his mommy, Ginny. The dilute is evident in his spots, nose and eyes. His temperament is a perfect blend of both of his parents. Very loyal and at your feet like his daddy and quiet, affectionate and calm like his mommy.
Recently his inherited quirk appeared – one that he got from his daddy – the very tip of his tongue sticking out. Mo used to do that all of the time, and now his son does too!
