Dinner on the couch is the norm around here for the adults. The kids are usually in the kitchen and have dogs surrounding the base of their chairs, catching dropped bits and pieces. (Exactly WHY they eat in the kitchen) But with meals so easily accessible from the couch, we have mastered the “No Begging” skill from here. Of course, my husband can’t help but give them soooomethign for sitting so long and being so good. They have figured that out. They don’t whine, scratch or jump at food, but they do sit patiently, anticipating their earned treat.
