When hormones run amuck, the napping arrangements for our dogs are adjusted to keep the intact boys and girls separated. Teddy is usually at my side along with Dewey, cuddled up on the couch or beside my computer chair. When a female is in heat, the boys are usually in the kitchen.
I couldn’t help but chuckle when I peered into the kitchen today and found my two shadows cuddled up together in the doggy bed. They both looked at me with the saddest eyes, full of disappointment from being away from my side. They best get comfortable because Kiki’s season has just begun!
Of course, it wasn’t until I looked more closely at the photo did I realize that Ginny too had a unique napping position – She’s such a lady, isn’t she?
