CCA Regional Specialty 2013With 122 entries and six Juniors exhibiting, I am proud to announce that the CCA’s first Regional Speciality was a MAJOR success! We arrived around 9:00 am this morning and we finished up close to 5:00 pm. The day may have been long but it was worth every moment! Entries were from around the country – around the WORLD! What an honor to be a part of it.

My daughter was again, the only Junior in her class – Same old song and dance but she is such a trooper and I am proud of her for never giving up. She reentered the ring for the Best Junior Handler competition and the pride continued as i watched her listen intently, stop and correct her one and only mistake that I could see and smiled the entire way around the ring.

KC was entered in the 12-18 month class and boy was she in rare form! She was very showy, but also rather spooked by the rear, left corner of the ring. Every time we approached and of course on our down of the down and back, she stopped to listen to what ever her sensitive doggy ears could hear. Allowing the judge to see her rear movement was damn near impossible – From the front, she rocked it though!

CCA Regional Specialty 2013 - JudgeSeminarDuring the lunch break, the CCA held a judging seminar, tacking how to properly judge the Chihuahua. This is a great opportunity to share with so many judges in town from all over the world! I was so excited to see so many participate and prod to see so many of our club members volunteer their lunch break to help with their dogs in the seminar. Way to go everyone!
