Alexis did such a fabulous job keeping out from the corner all weekend. This is the spot she always seems to find herself in, being at the end of the line with a slower dog. Today she pulled herself out from from the corner, more so any ever. The problem is, she didn’t realize that Boomer was not aligned straight in front of her when free stacking him – He was more angled, with his rear pointing in towards the judge.

I watched him wait for her to realign Boomer – And wait – AND WAIT. She clearly missed the signs and just kept retaining Boomer’s already captured attention to the bait instead of correcting his stack. Needless to say, she didn’t place. But she definitely has another major lesson learned – Don’t show the judge the dog’s butt!
