Olive has been claimed by all of the dogs as their’s to take care of. I am sure they realize that she is “special” so they all tend to keep an eye out for her, with some going to far as to treat her as their baby. We have a few maternally driven Chihuahuas here, with Milly, KC and Barbie leading those ranks. They are the ones that are always cleaning on her, specifically her ears. She has her grandfather Teddy’s fine coat and the gooey ears are the result of these cleaning sessions. We have to take a fine coat comb to her ear fringe all of the time, just to keep it from matting.
