The post Happy Halloween first appeared on Figgy's Chihuahuas AKC Show Breeder/Handler in Florida.]]> I have been singing the praises of the Small Animal Costumes available at PetSmart for quite a while and what better a time to talk about them than Halloween? I picked up the witch hat, black spider and the glitter pumpkin costumes and as you can see, they fit 4lb and less Chihuahuas perfectly! Better than the small dog costumes do, that’s for sure! Just yours while the getting is good… and Happy Halloween!

CHECK! first appeared on Figgy's Chihuahuas AKC Show Breeder/Handler in Florida.]]> So it may have been one of our quietest Halloweens in years, but that didn’t stop us from taking advantage of the unique opportunity to expose our pups to screaming kids and ringing doorbell. I am proud to announce that all four puppies made it successfully through the entire evening and only 45 minutes into the festivities, I found them like THIS! I would say that the socialization was a success, right?

The post Happy Halloween From Spike and Lionel! first appeared on Figgy's Chihuahuas AKC Show Breeder/Handler in Florida.]]> This was the first Halloween for many of the dogs in our house and the scurry of door activity can often times send a Chihuahua into a frenzy. Doorbells, kids running around and yelling – even the sound of simply opening the door can get them all worked up.

KC and Kiki took it all in stride, sleeping through the majority of the evening. It was Spike and Lionel that I was most fixated on – With Lionel being a visitor and Spike being as young as he is, it was rather entertaining to watch them try to figure out exactly what was going on. As one point, Spike squeezed through the baby gate to join me on candy duty, greeting some of the kid with a kiss and tail wag.
