The post Let The Game Begin! first appeared on Figgy's Chihuahuas AKC Show Breeder/Handler in Florida.]]> The AKC National’s Week has begun here in Orlando and I couldn’t NOT partake in the fun! I didn’t enter any of our Chihuahuas during the week – Only on Friday for the Owner Handler competition and the CCA Regional Specialty – But when Sandy and I talked about heading to the Convention Center together this week to watch Duncan show, I was ALL about joining in! Sandy is a blast and her sister is equally  as fun to hang with. Rooting on Darius and Duncan all while getting to see our other friends here from all over the World – OH YEAH! Day one didn’t disappoint!

I also had to bring Margie for her to go back to South Carolina for her breeding. Candice is a true life saver for transporting her for us – It looks like she is in awesome hands!

 

Day two as equally as fun! More friends, more Duncan fun and way more laughs! I so love this time of the year! So much excitement and so many amazing dogs!

First, this would be Margie’s last breeding and then she will retire with us permanently. I’m very excited to see what she produces. She’ll be going back to Rayna next week for her breeding.

Millie will be bred to Tino! This will be his first breeding and potentially her last! This will be a line breeding her paternal side and I am excited to see what the results are. Fingers crossed everyone!!!!!

The post Thanks For The Girls first appeared on Figgy's Chihuahuas AKC Show Breeder/Handler in Florida.]]> While I absolutely love my life being surrounded by Chihuahuas, on this Thanksgiving, I wish to give thanks for the gifts that Junior Showmanship has brought into our family’s lives. Not only unbelievable opportunities for my daughter to experience the amazing life skills learned from such a supportive community but also the ability that expand the breeds in our home, teaching us the fabulous differences these breeds have from our Chis!

Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought I would own a Whippet. The average non-dog person doesn’t even know what a Whippet is and honestly they are such an amazing breed! Breezy has come so far with us and to our amazement, has fit it perfectly into our pack – often times mimicking the Chihuahua ways! Margie is the source of our smiles, entertainment and never ending affectionate love! Such a sweet and giving breed that you simply cannot help but fall in love with! These two girls have taught us to much and never could we even imagine life without them in it!
