Kiss Loves The Babies Too

Kiss truly has been in a whirlwind over the past month since she has been with us and now the latest, is the addition of the puppies. Her bestest buddies are Tipsy, Ty and Milly, the three most playful ones in the house. They are normally chasing or wrestling with each other throughout the day.

Now that the boys are downstairs in the playpen, I think she is torn something fierce. Like a 5 year old on Christmas morning, she doesn’t want to let them out of her sight in fear of missing out on a chance to play with them. She clearly doesn’t understand that they are still so young and nap more than anything. But when they come out, she plays and plays and PLAYS – and then she naps, right on the big pillow next to their pen. So sweet!

Self Stack Training

Kiss is a dream when walking on the lead. Not a pause or hesitation, with her tail up and possible smile on her face. It is keeping her still long enough to self stack that she is not to keen on. She is a puppy at heart and all she wants to do is move.

The lead on the neck seems to keep her brain in “move” mode. Jumping up the leg and into the air was mastered. When I had Alexis remove the lead, the real training began. Patiently holding the bait and only rewarding her with all four paws on the ground took a mere 10 minutes to find success. Now we just need to do this a little bit every day and we should have her ready for September!

In Love With Kiss

Michele has been so awesome to Alexis and the latest opportunity she has given her is hands down, beyond amazing. After watching Alexis for the last two weekends, adding an energetic and showy Chihuahua to her show dog arsenal was her main goal. Kiss is just that and then some. While helping Alexis gain some more experience in the ring, we will also be able to help Michele get a title on her amazing little girl.

She bought her along with her last week when she drove up to stay here with us and I can tell you that she made herself at home instantly. She fits in perfectly with the rest of our crew and I am so excited to see what our future holds with her.
