Stick Fetish

Tipsy is a very unique girl with a temperament like no other. Just like her daddy Georgie but triple the human love and excitement for life. She will play with her canine friends with complete and utter joy and then entertain herself with the same zest for life for hours. Especially when she finds a stick!

She will go out in to the yard, search for her stick for the day and then carry it with her everywhere! After playing with it outside, she will bring it back into the house and play with it there, usually leaving pieces of bark in her wake. Eventually what’s left of it will end up in the back of one of the crates and I will have to dig it out and throw it away. Then, you guessed it! We start all over again the next day!

Energy Release

When you are on the road being a super star taking the show ring by storm, being home is a real treat! Being home and able to tear it up in the backyard is amazeballs!

Tipsy and Duper did just that and released a ton of energy! Chasing each other, wresting and of course, building muscle too! Happy little dogs living the life!

Playing With A Whippet

My Chihuahua’s have taken in Breezy the Whippet and made her part of the pack. She actually thinks she is a Chihuahua. Sometimes I truly believe they all forget their size differences. Other times I think she is completely aware and conforms!

Today she laid down on the deck to be “eye-to-eye” with her playmates and they beyond love it! Not only was she not towering over them but they got to jump up onto her and climb! They all had blast!

Cosmo Took Breezy’s Spot

The window seat is clearly now the most coveted spot in the house! Breezy made it her own the moment she became part of our family. She has her own blanket that she nests with and that is where she brings all of her toys to hide from the others. It provides the best views in the house for a canine – All the wildlife outside and into the kitchen form the family room.

Apparently. Cosmo has figured this all out and now makes the BACK of the chair his new spot! Smart boy!

Our Own Jungle-Gym

While on the subject of our sweet Breezy, I should share that she is hands-down, the sweetest step-mommy to our Chihuahuas! So maternal and so gentle with even the tiniest of Chihuahuas, she will bend down and play with them for hours!

She will very gently paw them, getting down onto their level to make it easier for them play with and ON her! Even the adult join in from time to time! Not that we ever have any plans to breed, I can tell you that she would make an amazing mother!

It’s All Fun and Games Until…

I let the puppies out to play this afternoon and the mayhem made me chuckle. When I bought this toy for the puppies they were young and sweet and innocent. It’s crazy how different things are three weeks later. I mean, they are crazy wild and rambunctious!

They have torn down the sides, scattered the balls and are swinging from the hanging pieces. Clearly I need to pack up all of the “pieces” and save them for future litters to be able to enjoy – when they are in the 3-5 week-old range!

Christmas Tradition

Every year the dog’s toy selection changes because Santa brings them a new slew of treasures! Of course, Breezy LOVED the toys – She searched out those with squeakers almost instantly! The Chihuahuas were not as interested but Boom Boom loved the gift opening!

Millie is a toy lover so she and her sweet baby boy got their own private holiday gift opening celebration. Oops checked out the new toys after his mom ripped open the wrapping paper to eat.

That’s Right! There’s A Whippet!

Sadie and Sloane (aka Rio and Simone) came to stay with us for a couple of days and I honesty I think they forgot we had such a “big” dog here. When the girls still lived here, they were a bit too small to run the yard with Breezy. Now that they are bigger, playing outside they were a bit startled by the considerably larger dog running along side them. After a bit of doggy-style introductions, they all bonded quickly!

Time For Puppy Play

Mr. Tino has fit right in with his nieces and nephews now that he has been with them full time and outside of being the only long coat you’d never know he wasn’t part of the litter. They are a rambunctious bunch that has become more and more confident every day. This truly has been a very fun bunch of pup to watch grow – and play with! The adult Chihuahuas in our home feel the same way too!

Brothers From Other Mothers

Georgie and Harry truly act like brothers. For being two intact males they adore each other’s company like no other dogs I have ever seen. They bring each other toys to play with TOGETHER, they nap next to each other on the rug by the back door and they alert anyone who will listen when they are separated. Maybe it’s the fact that they travel together to shows? Or those trips are what helped them bond so closely? What ever it is, it’s adorable to watch.
