It’s Ty’s Time

When Estrella contacted me looking for some helping in finding a new play buddy for their Chihuahua Fernando, that’ll also fill an unfortunate void left by the loss, I knew Ty would be the perfect choice. When she met him yesterday, she whole heartedly agreed! His super sweet temperament and laid back personality made for a perfect addition.

The email I received today confirmed what I knew the moment she laid eyes on him (and he on her)….

Ty has been warmly welcomed by Don Fernando. Our family is once again complete.

And Then Came My Morning Buddies…

We woke up late today – after our very all night, all nighter – so after breakfast, I plopped onto the couch and started up the laptop to get to work. It didn’t take long for my lap buddies to find their spots but I will tell you, I have never seen them position themselves quite like this!

With Barbie laying on her back, her granddaughter Olive and son Ty, snuggled up on her belly while Tipsy and KC arranged themselves along the side of my leg, keeping warm from both sides. They stayed like that the major of the afternoon and I got a lot of work done all while catching up on the entire season Shameless! YAHOO!

What An Awesome Sister

Ty is recovering perfectly from his surgery, loving life being spoiled on the couch. No jumping and a lot of napping is exactly what the doctor ordered and he is clearly mastering that. Now that Milly is out of her heat, she is able to join him on the couch and boy have her instincts kicked into gear. She has tended to her brother Ty all afternoon, cleaning his eyes and ears and keeping him warm – SO Sweet!

SO MANY THINGS!

It started as any other trip to see Doc – some vaccines and a snippety-snip for the Ty man. But so much more happened and it was amazing!

First, the puppies did so awesome – all five of them! Kidd and Georgie got their rabies while the others received their second set of puppy vaccines. Not a single issue or reaction and not even a squeal. I was so proud!

Ty’s surgery was a complete success, with a rather quick recovery from the anesthesia an, with him being up and ready to head home after only a couple of hours. Granted, he still gets to deal with the house full of hormones but it will be a lot easier on him the next go around, for sure. Poor buddy. He is such an exceptionally sweet boy – He is going to make the most fabulous lap dog!!!

Tona at Doc’s office fell hard for Kidd and knew immediately that he ow deb perfect for her mom.They had a black and tan smooth coat that recently passed away and Kidd looked a lot like their little guy. She called her mom, who drove right up to the office to see him. I think you can guess what happened from there. Ohhhh yeah! She fell heard – REAL hard!

Kidd now has a new name is Cubby -which is adorable as ever – ad he will want and need for NOTHING! He will be the king of their castle – So excited for them ALL!!!

Will It Ever End?

The 20+ days of a female dog’s heat cycle seems to never end, especially when you have three with overlapping seasons and a house full of very young an alert males. The puppies are too young to do anything really, but Ty is a virile young boy that is primed and ready to go! Unfortunately two are his sisters and Olive? Well, I am allowing her to go through her first season to hep he maturity but after that, she is getting spayed! A pregnancy would most likely kill her! Soooooooo……

We get to listen his Ty scream, whine and cry for Milly, Tipsy and Olive while they, lounge in the leather lap of luxury and nap the day away, knowing full well they arriving him wild. Two more weeks to go for the girls but only 24 hours more for Ty!

Poor Ty

He is screaming over the girls in the other room – waiting impatiently at the gate, hoping for any chance to sneak in and fulfill his urges. Yes, Tipsy, Milly AND Olive are in heat!

Tipsy in most definitely in handing heat right now – I think we missed her window completely – and the other two are right behind her in entering their first season. Should be an interesting month of October!

Walmart Finds

If you can believe it, the Halloween decorations are already out and when I stop into Walmart to pickup a few things I happened upon the to costume aisles and almost tinkled my pants with excitement! LITTLE DOGGY HATS & WIGS!!!!

Cowboy hats in brown, black and pink! They also have this florescent pink mohawk and blond ponytails. The biggest excitement was created by the little sombreros! Oh My WORD! Perfect for the Meet The Breed booth in December! So you know I picked up some!

My husband’s favorite was the mohawk. Needless to say he had to put it on as many of our crew as he could. Dude and Ty were the only ones who kept it on long enough to be able to snap a photo. I think they rocked it!!!

Our Sweet Baby Boy

Ty has been a super sweet boy for Shannon and she has worked very hard on getting him into show-mode. We have never been able to truly get him to walk on a lead as he has always been what I would call “soft”. He is so tenderhearted and loving but the guilts of using him were starting to take hold. It was when Shannon made the unfortunate discovery of the placement of his adult canines and the final decision was made. Our sweet baby boy will be getting the snippety-snip and living out his day is the lap of luxury as he truly deserves. Ty will be coming back to our abode this week and we will be planning a visit with Doc in a few weeks.

Ty’s Shot For The Ring

Shannon is taking our sweet Ty into her home and heart for a chance to build his confidence and get him int the show ring. If there is anyone that can do it, it’s Shannon! We have had an oddly busy summer, and a chance for him to get some one-on-one training is exactly what he needs – Something we just can’t do right now. I am so excited for Shannon AND for Ty. And I can’t wait to see what these two ca accomplish together – Hoping they make their debut at the next Specialty.

The Newest Besties

Ty and Olive have proven to be the newest bestest buddies in the house, playing so wonderfully together. He is just the right amount of gentle with her, as if he knows she’s “special”.

Ty is one smart pup – I think he will make a fabulous daddy some day. And I just know he will be wonderful to the newest Figgy pups – Those on the ground and those on the way.
