Of course, Milly loves it just as much as her little ones and the pit keeps them all contained – For the time being that is. I see them crawling out on their own by week’s end!

We all want the luscious green yard but in this State it really is just a bunch of weeds. And when you don’t keep it cut the stick-tights take over. I usually have get the hint loud and clear when a long coat comes in with a few on them. Today it was insane!! Beyond SCREAMING that the yard needs tending to when your long coat AND your smooth coat come in covered from head to toe! YIKERS! Sorry guys!

She brought back today today sporting the most adorable shirt ever! bitches love him! Sporting the most adorable shirt ever! Bitches Love Him! Clearly he’s got his work cut out for him in the breeding department!

But when we woke this morning to Milly panting up a storm so I knew they were coming today! To the whelping box we went AGAIN and Milly panted and paced and dug and then…. she whined.

She NEVER whines! Ever! She’s a silent whelper!!! And this was not her first time. We were waiting over 4 hours and still no puppy – Totally unlike her. I knew we had a problem! Off to Dr. Rodgers in Lakeland we were headed!!!!

The drive was rather uneventful – My co-pilot was a real trooper. Keeping herself calm and staying focused the the task at hand. I swear she knew I was on a mission helper – I could see it in her eyes!

Dr. Rodgers was amazing, AS ALWAYS and got her right into surgery. We had 6 puppies in there but the boy that was stuck didn’t make it. He was positioned across the birth canal, blocking the way for all of the others, hence…. no progress on the whelping and lots of whining!!!

We had five happy and healthy puppies in shades of black to blue. Two girls and three boys. Milly took right to them, even while coming to from her anesthesia! Man oh man is she an amazing mother!!! And we have ourselves a stunning litter of puppies!

As we drove home and I got them all settled I thought long and hard about this whole whelp watch. Two fulls days waiting for their dramatic arrival -Same way I come into the world! An entire week early for me though! So with that said, these puppies were being named after birthday cocktails! Decision made!!!

Even with Tasha keeping my feet warm! She was in a bit of a panic watching and waiting for her favorite human but she managed to keep it somewhat together!

Bonus of the day – Outside of getting to nap on the drive home – Seeing I made it into the Canine Chronicle for the Meet the Breed booth in December! So honored!!!!

When we make our pilgrimage to the Atlanta shows we always have our local spots to gather and hang. A dog show peeps fav is Spondivits.

Weird that Florida peeps run to a seafood place in GEORGIA of all places but we do! The crab-legs are amazing but the ambiance is killer! Tons of fun and cocktails flow as much as the laughs. Tonight we girls headed out for a bit of giggles and fun! Girly secrets a plenty – shhhhhhhhhhh 😉

Love that fact that I get too see my out of town peeps up here though. Big time bonus to these shows. Of course, even better when you get to doit with our hometown friends too! And getting to spend more time with Grizzly – Every second is a true gift!

Duper is still rocking’ the ring and took WD and BOW for another point – YAHOO!!! Tipsy got first and no love beyond but it’s ok – she’s sill a baby! We got a long way to got with her 🙂

I got to handle so may fun dogs today!! A beagle, ridgeback and a Pomeranian. But what made today extra special? Getting to watch a dear friend get a Group 1 in owner-handled and then cheer her on in Best in Show! Congrats Stephanie!!!!!!
