This is going to be Tipsy’s debut, with her being entered in the Beginner Puppy classes and of course, Tino in Breed. It is cold as EVER this weekend so we shall see how things go!

Tino and I showed this morning and I am proud to say we got Best of Opposite Sex to Dolly and Issue. I am beyond honored, Issue is a beautiful girl! I also got to stick around this afternoon to watch Emma and Breezy in the Junior ring – Always a major bonus for me! She is starting to show her typical dislike of the show ring so I offered to allow her to stay with me tonight at the hotel. Sometimes being away makes her reconnection very strong. We shall see how she shows for her tomorrow. She was a little bit reserve today. Let’s hope tomorrow goes better.

Tipsy came along for her second travel weekend and as always, she was a huge hit! The dog show community is so awesome to help in socializing puppies! As I was tending to the Match Sign up table, up walked a fellow breeder, picked up Tipsy and off they went! PERFECT!! Of course Terry also did the same along with Karen and the girls – More familiar face for our crew!!!

I stayed at the show site this evening to not only root on Dolly with Kelly AND Nicco in the Group Rings but to also with help run the B Match that Dauris was in charge of. Thank you Janice for stepping an helping as well. The event went off without a hitch and was a true success!

Tonight Dolly brought us to a local Thai restaurant for another fun evening of food adventure. I always let her choose my meals when we got out for Asian food and I have never been disappointed. Tonight I was shocked but pleasantly pleased! The food was good. Scary to look at, but good! She knows I am on a special diet with low to no carbs and that fish and green veggies is about all I eat. Well this was fish alright! OMG! I cant believe I ate it!

It was when I got back to the hotel with Breezy and settled in for the night that I realized that the my room was going to be a problem – Apparently we had a case of bed bugs! OUCH!!!! I scratched and itched like nothing else and was miserable enough to pour myself a bath to get some relief.

In addition to this major accomplishment, allowing me to stay all day here in plant city, I was able to bring Tipsy along with me for the day for her to be socialized. She was quite the popular young lady, stealing everyones hearts and attention.

Rita brought Kisses this morning, allowing the sisters to get their first taste of being the ground at a dog show, together! I think that made the lessons a bit more tolerable. But after Rita left for the day it was Billie quickly picked up on her adorableness, asking if she could take her around and socialize her. How could I say no? I even left her with Billie while I headed to lunch with the girls (Best Mexican food I have had in a very long time by the way!)

I initially brought her to Arvind for an evaluation. He quickly saw her attributes and shared his excitement to watch her in 2018. No Arvind, she’s not for sale! Right after that is when Billie scooped her up and off they went. so meet the world. Tipsy will be fearless by the end this weekend. Handed off to anyone welling to love on an adorable Chihuahua puppy!

We got no love in regular owner handler groups but that didn’t stop us from continuing the fund. Renée and her team Valor have definitely decided that they need a Chihuahua to add to their bunch. I’m going to do my best to get them the best! We all headed out to dinner together to celebrate the day’s wins and discuss the future of the team with a Chihuahua in the pack. Can’t wait!

It started with the arrival of my friends Hiram who is here for the weekend. Showing his amazing pek Lukas, any time spent with him is a treat. To watch them win a Group 1 and then Best in Show? PRICELESS!!!

I also got to hang with Karen and the girls, watching Emma with Breezy rock it in juniors!! Seeing our sweet girl recognize me with major hugs and kisses was of course amazing.

For me, winning a Select with TIno in Breed was of course awesome but the icing on the cake was the amazing Group 4 in the Owner- Handler ring. The judge had us all FLIPPING OUT! He called in the opposite order so the whole room, including myself, thought I got a G1 but honesty it’s ok – any placement is a true honor and Tino showed his butt off big time. He earned it for sure!

We ended the night going to the WVKC fundraiser dinner. I was asked to bring my photo booth to the event so of course, I was honored to. We had a tad bit of fun posing and of course enjoying the pizza and salad dinner. Yum-Mee!

Karen, Emma and Anna drove over to not only pick up Breezy but also play with the puppies and of course, take in lunch at Bahama Breeze! We had a blast – and have decided that we need to do this WAY more often!  Especially since the two seemed to just blend on their first trip around the cul-de-sac. I think they may have a really good shot at being a nice Junior team! Fingers Crossed!

I headed over to Renee’s hotel to pick up Alexis and we hung out for a bit of pizza and chitty-chatting. We are staying at the Days Inn West will they are staying at the Days Inn North. Less than 5 miles from each other, ours may be one exit further from the show site but I think I like our too better. Roomy and quiet!

We met up Friday night at our go-to-location – Ruby Tuesdays – for steak dinner. The steak leftovers are always used as bait for the weekend. The dogs LOVE it! Friday we moored out sweet Boomer over dinner and talked about the great accomplishments of the dynamic duo. We also discussed the fact that Margi will be coming to live  with us once she is retired. We even discussed the idea of Alexis showing her next year to try to earn her final major and get her titled. Well guess what? Today Rayna got that major ! And yesterday we discussed the possibility of a Boomer son coming to living with us. Many Pug plans in the works – EXCITING!!!!

I don’t know what better a way to celebrate his new title than with friends! Friends who have been there for me since the beginning, helping me create my line as well as teach me the techniques to show dogs! The entire weekend was spent rejoicing and celebrating with these friends – old and new – making the accomplishment that much better. BEYOND AMAZING!!!

Rounding out the amazing weekend was when Boomer and Alexis got a 1st Place in Juniors! Ohh Yeah! Only three more to go and the AKC Nationals Invite is all ours!!!!

Before we head out for dinner, Alexis and Boomer made their South Carolina debut in the Junior ring. I don’t know if it was because she had a competitor she never met before or if her odds for her next win was only 50% away, but she looked a bit nervous out there. They did great but they got 2nd. I think her lack of confidence was the determining factor. Needless to say, a pep talk was part of the dinnertime conversation.
