The chance to visit with Bindi was beyond amazing! I haven’t seen her in over three years when she was in the show ring. She is now a retired layover and she is wearing it well. She got to meet and play with her nephew Georgie, who I swore she knew was related to her.

Thank you Jane and Paul for such a gift! This amazing opportunity will be a life long memory  for my entire family.

A few others I thought you might like to see is KC’s litter mates, Kiki and Kahula. Both are doing FABULOUS and are beyond loved with their new forever families. Of course, we also have a photo of Huggie to share. He is the king of his castle with Kiki being the queen – adorable as ever and loved unconditionally.

Another exciting update is that of Chanel who is Bubble’s sister. She didn’t get that much bigger after she let but she surly got her beautiful adult coat to come in – STUNNING!!!!

Over the weekend, I heard from Jane about her desire to bring two Chihuahuas into her family. WIth the puppies being way to young to be placed I mentioned a few of the dogs we were planning on retiring. That inspired a Sunday afternoon at our house, meeting a large majority of our dogs and falling head over heels for Huggie and Kiki. They could clearly see how much they complemented each other – He is laid back and  chilled while she is more adventurous and active. As we talked dogs and such, the two crawled right up into Jane and Paul’s laps and napped. I think the decision was made right then and there – For the humans and the dogs!

They officially are residents of the State of Rhode Island, having taken off on a flight and landed to experience temperatures they have never imagined! It was 34 degrees!!! BURRRR. Kiki was a bit unsure of the flight while Huggie slept the whole way home. With their first official airplane ride in the cabin under their belts, I am sure they will return to the land of sunshine and sand and on the next trip down south.

These two dogs are very special members of our own family but knowing they will want for nothing and live the life like that of a king and queen made the bitter sweet decision much easier. They are the DREAM forever family – I am so happy for everyone!

Ohhhhh Yeah! the girls are in heaven and have totally come out of their shells. They love their new buddy Nala and even the cats – But I think the best part is all of the attention they have gotten from friends and visitors at their weekend oasis.

With two cats and their adorable Rottie/Lab mixed named Nala who is Ozzie’s girlfriend (hard to imagine right?), our girls would get exposure to things I personally could never offer – Four full days of entirely new experiences! I don’t know who I am more excited for – the girls of their temporary humans. KC and Kiki are in for one weekend of total spoilage. I dropped them off two hours ago and I am already getting photo updates- I LOVE IT!

Now off to pack up the rest of the dogs – and humans…

And KC? We did x-rays to confirm but her patellas and hips are fine. It may be a puppy spurt and something she will grow out of. Of course we did discover that she had to poop and could potentially be going back into heat though. Looks like she will be getting some additional time to grow and develop so we can see if this is just a phase or not.

Since we were out in the area, we stopped by to visit with Vicky, making it my time to soak up some puppy breath and give belly kisses. Spike and I got to play with Eve and her sweet babies – OH MY GAWD ARE THEY ADORABLE! I was tickled pink to visit with Eve and Jessa – They both were equally excited to see me too! Boy are they a couple of very happy girls!

I noticed her and three of her girls lounging together this afternoon – Which also included an eye and face washing from mom after a bit of a play session before the naps. So sweet to watch a mommy and her babies – Even grown babies!

We have started giving her some Benadryl and almost instantly saw the redness and scratching cease. YAHOO! Gotta love Benadryl!
