They brought home Kiki and Huggy – Too very special dogs that are key to my program and have a special place in my heart. Up to Rhode Island they all traveled and the rest is history their family’s life forever too. Kids and grandkids in the human world blended with their new canine family. They eventually They eventually brought home Beamer who just so happens to be Georgie’s father!

The moment I mentioned that he was being retired, they immediately raised their hand and said he had to be thing new bestest buddy for his dad. Beamer was living with their daughter and grandkids! On their next family vacation to Florida they would bring him home with them to join the grand babies and Beamer. Hence, getting the snippity-snip was to get him ready for his new adventures.

Today they are all flying back home to Rhode Island. I AM SO EXCITED!! Their family grows and so does the warmth in my heart!!!

I fully intended for KC to live out every single day of her life on my couch! This is Tino’s mother! This is my very first Teddy daughter that changed my program forever! She is the sweetest, kindest and gentlest Chihuahua I have ever met let alone produced! She has loved the back of my couch since the day she was retired and I honestly thought that we would see her there for 10+ more years. That was until I had a conversation with Jen at a dogs show about her grandparents….

Jen’s grandparents had a poodle that they had unit the tender age of like 14!!! Unfortunately those 14 years were not all that pleasant. The poodle was a biter snd less than happy girl. All her grandmother wanted was a dog to sit on her lap ad let her be brushed. Simple request right? Yeah, not so simple when the poodle wanted nothing to do with being on someone’s lap let alone being brushed.

As a resident Chihuahua breeder, of course I was asked if I personally had a little one that was looking for a laugh a lap. Jen is close fiends with Renee and I was this first person with little dogs she could think of to ask. I didn’t have anyone I was actively looking to place. But then KC came to mind. Show would be perfect! Exactly what she described as needing. A total lap lover who could be brushed for hours in pure joy.

Sometimes our own wants need to be put aside for what’s best for our four-legged loved ones. KC would thrive as the only dog in a home where she could get all of the attention and love possible. My heart knew this was the right decision. So I drove over to the coast to bring her to her new forever lap loving family.

The bond was INSTANT! Not just for Jen and her mom but for Jen’s grandparents who fell instantly and fell hard! I am soooooo happy for everyone – mostly KC because he deserves every once of love she is getting She is a special girl that changed my life forever. And now she has changed theirs!!

While I was there this evening rediscovering enough to give the next set of vaccines to the remaining pups (sometime I am just too squeamish to do on my own) and I also got me some Eddie time! Being that he is the grandfather to this litter, I see so much of him but in the puppies too. He is such a sweet boy and I was so honored to have in a short period of time that we did. He is a great addition to my program and I’m honored to continue his legacy.

Millie truly is the most amazing mommy I ever had my program. Not only is whelping and raising the puppy effortless for her but she is so easy-going and friendly. She knows no stranger. She gave Carole and Gerald two paws up, greeting them with tails a waggin’ and jumping right into their laps to meet them and give her approval.

Congratulations to you all! The perfect forever family two perfect boys to call your own!

Today was the day for Trelane and Barbie to meet and I have to say, it was really rather sweet. It only took a couple minutes for the trembling to stop and for Barbie to relax in her lap. She looked up at her, even giving her a quick kiss on the face, and then seemed to be like, “Ok, this is good!”

A lap all of her own is what we want for any of our retired dogs and Barbie is one that oh-so deserves that! Congrats to our sweet girl and her new forever family! Thank you for loving her!
