We all want the luscious green yard but in this State it really is just a bunch of weeds. And when you don’t keep it cut the stick-tights take over. I usually have get the hint loud and clear when a long coat comes in with a few on them. Today it was insane!! Beyond SCREAMING that the yard needs tending to when your long coat AND your smooth coat come in covered from head to toe! YIKERS! Sorry guys!

Soak the feet in hydrogen peroxide for about 1 minute. Past the feet dry without wiping or rinsing it off. The peroxide with not only remove the staining but it will kill the fungus that creates it. You can also use peroxide to remove tear staining by dabbing it on carefully wth a Q-Tip.

Please keep them both in your thoughts and prayers that everything goes as planned. I couldn’t ask for a better person take care of her!

Our judge was definitely NOT a toy breed judge and got right into TIno’s face right off the bat. She then took a very long time going over him – like rubbing her hands all over him several times, over and over again. He was getting a tad impatient but tolerating it. It was when she got to his rear and checked for testicles that he had finally had it! She was back there a very long time, and seemed to be digging for them. When he was younger they were tiny and sat in front of each other. This did make for some awkward and uncomfortable moments for him while we were table training but again, I finally had him broken of that. UNTIL TODAY!  Now? They are HUGE for his size! There is no way you cane miss them!!! And they are sensitive!!!!! He was so done and finally sat his butt down on the table and didn’t want her back there again. She seemed frustrated at his resistance and you could tell that at that point, it was over. It’s all good! Let’s hope this was just a blip on his radar and that tomorrow Tino will go back to his table-happy self!

Outside of the dog show ring, there was a lot of excitement! First, I was told yesterday by a friend that it was time to step up my hair style. I needed to rid myself of the mom-cut and get “texturized”. I stepped into Arvind’s grooming area and got GROOMED! I have to tell you, I have never received such an awesome cut! Seriously! He layered and texturized like I have never seen! I think I need to setup a trim appointment in another month or so – He’s Amazing! And do you think I look like the Long Island Medium????

The excitement didn’t stop there! Guess who is the on-site veterinarian this weekend??? Dr. Susan Rodgers, they very veterinarian that brought our sweet Tino into this world! YES! That Dr. Rodgers! The only surviving puppy from the special c-section litter from KC, she was there from conception through their birth. It was just so cool to have her there to witness his adorableness and success.

Back at the hotel room we returned to the grooming of Brittany, the corded Havanses, It is actually very relaxing and in some ways, therapeutic. Cutting the tiny random “hairs” off her cords is tedious but you can spend hours doing it and she just lays there loving the attention. We stayed up until 1 am doing it last night and we are back at it today. She looks so good!!! Tomorrow will be her day!!!

Julie comes to both As The Tail Wags Grooming locations once a month and performs dental cleanings without anesthesia. She does such an amazing job and for a dog that is less than joyful over being out and about, handled it all beautifully! It was the best stress-free option for her. I beyond recommend Julie and suggest that you contact the Oviedo or Titusville shops and get on the appointment list.

A Dremel is at the prefect choice because it cauterizes as it grids the nail and with some detailed instructions from Kristie, Alexis was able to learn a quick way to Dremel a less than cooperative dog. Looks Like we know what we will be doing every Thursday for the time being!

Both Pryia and Breezy fit in it perfectly and by using it on the back deck, the water feeds through the hose and right onto the ground – PERFECT! I recommend it to anyone with a larger dog. Using it along with a standard garden hose makes giving your dog bath easy as ever! Two thumbs for sure!
