They brought home Kiki and Huggy – Too very special dogs that are key to my program and have a special place in my heart. Up to Rhode Island they all traveled and the rest is history their family’s life forever too. Kids and grandkids in the human world blended with their new canine family. They eventually They eventually brought home Beamer who just so happens to be Georgie’s father!

The moment I mentioned that he was being retired, they immediately raised their hand and said he had to be thing new bestest buddy for his dad. Beamer was living with their daughter and grandkids! On their next family vacation to Florida they would bring him home with them to join the grand babies and Beamer. Hence, getting the snippity-snip was to get him ready for his new adventures.

Today they are all flying back home to Rhode Island. I AM SO EXCITED!! Their family grows and so does the warmth in my heart!!!

Today she laid down on the deck to be “eye-to-eye” with her playmates and they beyond love it! Not only was she not towering over them but they got to jump up onto her and climb! They all had blast!

But I will tell you the feistiness of Georgie was definitely handed down to his daughter. Having Georgie and Tipsy together can be a bit exhausting at times. They NEVER stop!

As usual with males, they recover quickly and that was the case with Georgie. He was up and running around within hours of being home.

KC on the other hand is taking a bit longer – as she should! Her incision is much bigger and the surgery is much more invasive!

She was back her perky self this morning and sweet Georgie hasn’t left her side!

They both did very well in their surgeries as well as the drive home. A lot of sleeping and resting is on the agenda for the next couple of days. If Georgie is anything like his dad he will be up and moving the moment we step foot in the door at home. KC is a heart doggy so I will spoil her rotten 😉

While waiting for them to come-to from anesthesia (which does take considerably longer than the actual surgery does!) I was able to explore the local Ross and boy oh boy did I find some fabulous deals! Dresses for $5.99 and $9.99. Nice dog show dresses!!! I will be styling this year in Brooksville!!

Mr. Georgie was not cooperating. Or at least his urges weren’t. Rita tried for quite a while to collect from him and it just was not going to happen. Talk about blue balls? Poor little guy! At this point we were left with a choice. Skip the breeding or try another male. This is going to be KC’s last season. She’s getting up in age and I do not want put her through the hormones anymore. This was her day 10 – the day to start the breeding!! Rita suggested we go with Patriot Eddie’s father and Tino’s grandfather. It would it would not bring in the newer stuff so. That is what Georgie brings. I hemmed and hawed but finally to find decided to go for it. I figured I would do the one insemination and let fate make the decisions for me. If we artificially inseminated with Georgie I would come back in two days for a second breeding. All it really takes is one so this is where fate had to take over. We shall see if we have a litter around the first of the year.

I can say it was kind of funny to watch KC while she was being inseminated. She kept looking over at Georgie the entire time. He looked defeated and she looked disappointed. Like “Dude, what is up?”

Dolly and I are always up to something when we are together and this weekend was no exception. Hanging with Hiram again and being his little Minions is always good for a few laughs. I was so proud to be able to help see both my friends get group placements in the Toy Group! Go Hiram and Dollly!

In Team Figgy, I entered Georgie for a junior to show this weekend but she want able to attend after all so I got to show him. He is out of shop condition and hasn’t been in the ring in almost a year but that didn’t stop him from doing his thing! We had fun today in the ring just like the good ol’ days. Tino on the other hand was a complete pistol and didn’t want to cooperate. He played with the lead the entire time we moved and he simply wasn’t going to give control to ANYONE! We got Select which was a gift based on his behavior! I’ll take it the single GC point!

I also got to watch Emma and Breezy again in Juniors – They really have done so well together. I cannot wait to see them grow even more! So proud!

First of all, we had some time to do some more table training this morning before our ring time. I would say that it paid off because he was calm as a cucumber on the table in the ring. Mr Tino was totally on point today with his gait too because he walked around the ring like the Champion that he is! Best of Breed for a 4 point Major – his third needed towards his Grand Champion title! As of today he only needs four single points – or of course a 4 point major! We have three more shows here in Biloxi so we may just have our first Grand Champion by the end of the weekend!

Tino’s second trip around the ring showed he had even more confidence! He walked in like he owns the ring and he was rewarded for it for sure! We only have two days of Owner-Handler competition this week and with breed we got our 5 points. We also got a Group Four in Owner-Handler Groups!!! SO EXCITED!!! That should most definitely put him in the running for Top 10 standing! FINGERS CROSSED!!!

On a side note, I can’t help but watch the weather updates on Hurricane Irma and have truly contemplated going home early. The path keeps altering and my nerves are shot. I so love me friends! They are trying their darnedest to keep my mind off the storm and of course my family and home. After the show today we ventured out to explore the joys of Biloxi – The all you can eat crab legs at the local casino!!! Total Yummage! An awesome dinner filled with friends and laughter and of course, seafood!

On the way back to the hotel we had to stop off at Walmart for room snacks and supplies. I also needed to get me new jammies. You see, traveling with Dolly requires thick skin. That’s because she keeps the temperature in the 60’s. All of her dogs in tow are brachycephalic – Japanese Chin, French Bull Dog and Pug! Sooooooo, they need to be kept cool at all times. To my demise. I HAVE BEEN FREEZING MY BUTT OFF! In the car is bad but at night in the hotel is the worst. I had to get me jammies to keep me warm. What do you think of my selection???
