What’s the worst that can happen? Someone says no….

There was no hesitation at all – and interest in Tipsy was definitely piqued. We discussed the idea of them meeting with both of us seeing that this might be a perfect fit. She brought her grandson along of the exciting introduction and I seriously do not know who was more thrilled wth the results. Tipsy made it pretty darn clear that the admiration was equal – A lap loving diva dog was what they wanted and she is perfect fit!

Congrats to you all – she is a very special dog who will now be spoiled rotten by a very special family!

You see, they make up our most precious family to date! Ginny and Teddy’s litter produced my first show puppy, KC. It was Ginny’s last litter and Teddy’s first for us. So to see all three of them laying together, it pulled at my heart strings and then made my heart smile.

We have moved our adults to Acana Pacifica and Stella & Chewey’s Beef patties. So far they love it and we can feed them less.

I spilt up a freeze-dried patty and split it between 6 dogs! We sprinkle the pieces on top of their kibble. Boomer, Tipsy and George get cut-up Red Barn beef in their bowl to help BEEF the up and they ALL get a their kibbled drizzled in coconut oil.

We haven’t had an empty bowl since the switch! And as you can see by our three special diet show dogs begging t0 get into the kitchen after hearing the dinner bell (the pile of doggy bowls being filled with kibble) they love the change!

She went the first weekend we went to Brooksville but she just barked and growled at any dog that came near her at the show site. Basically she drove me insane. I decided not to bring her the second weekend. She showed excitement when we packed up to leave but perhaps didn’t think it could possibly happen to her  second time? I know they are THAT smart. So THAT is why I think she is so tudie with me today. We  left her two show trips in a row. I don’t know how well se would do in the new set up – more barkie or less. I will have to reassess in a couple of weeks if we should try bringing her again. She truly does love getting out an to the show – If only there were no other dogs there 😉

They have been real troopers this weekend, coming along to the show grounds during the day and cuddling up with us in bed at night. Watching them bat for the chicken just warms my heart – they are still show girls in my book!

We didn’t make it back to our home-away-from-home (the Brooksville Days Inn) until close to 5pm but man did we have no problem settling in! Awesome bang for the buck, changing only $25.00 total for the stay in pet fees. Very nice! And one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept on, in a long time.  A great start to a fun filled weekend.

Milly plopped right next to Tipsy in the dog bed and tried for the longest time to nonchalantly swept  it up but Tipsy would calmly till her head the other way or reposition herself to make it less difficult for Milly to swoop in. Then came Toddy who saw from afar what was going on so he positioned himself just outside of reach but close enough to jump in incase anyone happened to drop it. This went on for almost 30 minutes so unfortunately, I as the human had to reach down to grab and then toss it. Amazing what a scrap of fabric can bring to one’s day!

Tipsy is usually just outside of arm’s reach and will even bark at strangers which made her jumping into Mallory’s lap makes all take notice but the big picture here was heart warming.
