New Chihuahua Puppy Supplies
A Shopping Guide fr Chihuahuas and We Covered EVERYTHING!IRIS Puppy Playpen
Number one item that I tell all new puppy people they should purchase! It helps create a safe and secure environment for your puppy. Giving them free range to your house can definitely be overwhelming. These are easy to clean and very easy to set up as as well as easy to store.
Washable Pee Pads for Dogs
Absolutely love the designs And color options. Not your boring pee pad laying on your floor, that is for sure! I will warn you that they do shrink overtime and the 36 in. square will eventually shrink within the size of your IRIS pen, but they also make great rugs!
Vetoquinol Nutri-Cal
I highly recommend that all toy breed dog owners have this on hand. While some honey rubbed on the roof of the mouth can bring a sugar crash to a halt, this is a great supplement to have anytime they’ve played a little too much and could use an extra boost
6-Speed Dog Nail Grinder
We use this tool on all of our puppies and our adults. Not only is it quiet, which of course is a must, it has a diamond head, which I tell everyone is the best way to go. It’s quick and simple and painless.
No-Drip Water Bottle
Total game changer! No more water on the floor to trip over and slip on! Attach this to the side of the IRIS pen and they will lick away. All puppies from our program have been trained to use them.
Ceramic Food Bowl
Why ceramic you ask? Less germs, less buildup and it’s microwavable! Plus, it’s heavy. Puppies tipped food bowls, more often than not so unless you wanna pick up kibble all over the floor, go with a weighted or heavy bowl.
Petmate Dog Crate
I always recommend crate training as a way to provide your dog, a safe and secure environment during times of stress and of course times of travel. It is safest to have your dog travel in a crate as opposed to on your lap or in the front seat of your car. Get them crate trained, and you will thank me later.
Plaque Remover for Teeth
Game changer! Once those adult teeth come in I highly recommend you use this regularly on your Chihuahuas teeth. There is no sound or movement until it literally touches a hard surface so it won’t startle and freak your dog out! And it does an amazing job getting the tartar off the teeth.
