We are all riled up for the Tampa Bay Chihuahua Club Speciality next month. Conformation training aside – I have another project in the works being made specially for the event. At each event the club holds, we also have an auction, with all proceeds going to the club. They have so many great Chihuahua themed items as well as dogs supplies a plenty to bid on. Vicky and I are going in on a very special item for the Speciality – a crate fully loaded with supplies and one of my handmade crate covers, complete with the bumper-pad and pillow. It seems that since we have gotten home from our camping trip, I have been in a constant catchup mode, mostly because of technology. My cell phone had to go in for repair, leaving me with a loaner phone to contend with. Then my 6 year old MacBook’s touchpad and keyboard just stopped responding. One of the gifts the kids picked out for my birthday was Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2. We all fell in love with the first movie and when we heard they were making another, we waited with much anticipation. Unfortunately, after seeing it was released directly onto DVD, the concern took over. I have found some amazing doggy finds at my local Walgreens in the past and have shared them with all my puppy families. The fabulous dog steps for $10.00. (The same that Target sells for $19.99) How about their bag of 50 pee-pads for $10.00? Now today while there I found SOCK MONKEY DOG TOYS!!! Holy moley! They are too stinkin’ cute! And at 5 bucks a piece, I just had to buy a few for the crew. Every time I bring home a new toy, they all go nuts to see it. This time was no different. Karen with Florida Chi and I headed out to Lakeland today for the and were able to witness the Long Coat portion of the event. It’s normally the Smooth Coats we see but it appears there are a lot more LCs entering the ring lately. I personally love the LCs so it was a true treat for me! Observations were as follows – Lighter coat color and VERY small sizes were the the majority and the number of LCs was double that of SC.
