It seems like only yesterday that I fell upon my Target bowl find. I love my green little bowls. They are durable, sturdy, match my kitchen colors are are a great size for feeding our Chihuahuas. I wasn’t looking to replace my perfect feeding find. It while at Target another end-cap caught my eye and this time I believe I found my PERFECT, perfect dog food bowls. We received this amazing holiday gift today from my mom and I honestly have never seen the dogs go this nuts over any package the UPS man delivers – Even when their doggy treats arrive! A dry ice encased box of lobster, shrimp and crab is what got all of their tails a waggin and I swear if they could have gotten to the contents they would have devoured it all, frozen or not. Not too sure if any of them have seafood allergies but in case you wondered, dogs can eat seafood, in moderation. We have been feeding the puppies their Eukanuba Small Breed Puppy Food in their pen for the last five weeks. Keeping the puppy food away from the adults is one of the reasons they are fed in there. (Puppy food is a huge treat that our dogs will do anything to get at). The other reason is because of their tiny size, I free feed them. Our adults are fed on a schedule. Using a puppy feeding dish, we keep it filled with food, designating it as the “kid’s table” since they all can gather around it and eat together. I normally take our weekly photos in the afternoon so that I can get the best natural light. Mother Nature was not on my side today and a photo session in simply not in the cards. We will try again tomorrow. But since I had the camera out and ready, I couldn’t help but capture a more candid 7 week moment. Even though the puppies are weaned and eating their puppy kibble, when given a chance to nurse, they WILL and DO take full advantage. While out for a play session this afternoon, they all ran to Capri, the closest bag of juice. These little RE (Room Essentials) dipping bowls are the perfect size to feed Chihuahuas and at their sale price, I just had to pick up enough for our crew!
