Bath Day
Sugar inspired our bath day today. She totally loves rolling and playing in the dirt. She would dig to China if she could! And of course, her white coat is a magnet to all of the dirt, turning her into more of a dusty gray color. Last night’s nasty weather created more of a mud bath and Sugar dove right in. With our little sweeties finally 8 weeks old, they finally got their first deep conditioning, fully foamed bath. Of the two, Gater was the calmest and seemed to truly enjoy all of the attention. Flirtini on the other hand was a tad bit more apprehensive to the water but realized quickly that the scrubbing felt really good! Both weighed in yesterday at the 1 and 1/2 pound mark. I spent the day at Karen’s today, with several dogs and ideas in tow. Capri has had the longest “pre-heat tease” known to man and as of Monday, has finally shown the definitive sign. With spotting apparent, her most current heat is finally upon us and also my last ditch effort to see if she will breed. Up until this point, she has refused to stand for any dog, especially males.
