The lack of cell service up here at Rodman Campground has made emails come in at a trickles pace. The email Karen sent last night didn’t full download until this morning, but boy was it worth the wait! She sent a sampling of photos that she has been snapping during their stay, and clearly, they are having a blast at the KZ Bed and Breakfast! And the fact that she did a little photo-shoot too? BONUS!!! Enjoy the photos as I did. To get the full effect, of course you will need a cup of coffee, camping chair and the breeze of the canal. Either way, they are...
Read MoreMy daughter and I packed up the puppies, Chicatoo, Ginny and Blue to head over to Karen’s for their extended stay and as I drove, I realized this is Ginny’s puppies very first car ride! Gator did fabulous on his first ride so he knew exactly what to do. Jump out of the carrier and right into my daughter’s lap. The younger ones were a bit hesitant but about half way there, they too crawled out and joined the others. I did do one major faux pas during the drive. My daughter was in the backseat with the dogs while I was of course, in the front. The temps were in the 80′s so it was a bit warm in the car. I ran the AC to keep things cool for the ride...
Read MoreI headed out to Karen’s today to help her get some new photos of her krew. I had a blast playing with all of her dogs and seeing how much they have grown. Many I haven’t seen in person since they were pups! Everyone is growing up quite nicely, into little tweenagers. Since I was there, I suggested getting some current photos of The Burrito. Then she suggested a mother and son shot too. He was from Chica’s very last litter – a monumental moment to capture. Oh, and a sweet one too of...
Read MoreIt’s time for Nolie, Breezy and Tiffy’s days at the Figgy Hotel to come to an end. Karen came to pick up the puppies and of course, stayed around long enough for us to catch up. My daughter thought it would be funny to let Dewey and Ace into the crate being used to transport the girls home in. She wanted to see if I would notice them being gone. I just thought it was so funny to see all of those eyes peeking out at me. All five of them piled into the crate, none letting out a single peep. Just sitting (or laying) in there, contently waiting to see what was going to happen...
Read MoreWhen puppies are in the 10 to 16 week old range, they are what is commonly referred to as the “teenage” stage. Here are a few tell-tale signs of puppy teenagedom… Yelps from tugging on another’s ears during a play session Torn and shredded pee-pads when they aren’t being given the attention they want Toys gathered and hidden in corners like hidden treasures Case games that are like constant blurs of commotion This photo captures a moment of puppy teenage life. The pups whined at the gate to be let out. They had already spent close to two hours playing in the kitchen and simply disagreed with that being enough time. They whined and whined...
