Olive is on her way to being an unofficial therapy dog. Being one that loves a human lap over all the things on the planet, a family member has been taking Olive along with her on visits to a hospice and she has been a perfect pick-me-up for many of the patience. Today we gave it a go with a very elderly fellow Chihuahua named mistress. Actually, we were doing a test run to see if she could do longer visits with Chanel and Mistress.
Chanel just wanted to play something fierce while Mistress sat and watched peacefully. It was so sweet to watch Olive be drawn more to Mistress than anything else in the room – as if she knew her gentle soul needed a hug. So sweet!
