Bath Day
Sugar inspired our bath day today. She totally loves rolling and playing in the dirt. She would dig to China if she could! And of course, her white coat is a magnet to all of the dirt, turning her into more of a dusty gray color. Last night’s nasty weather created more of a mud bath and Sugar dove right in. While the girls were out on one of their play sessions in the backyard this afternoon, Colada came back in the house with a swollen lip! Chihuahuas love to dig in the dirt to get to dead lizards and any found kitty poops. They also are often fascinated with moving bugs, many times using them as a toy! I think a combination of the both resulted in Colada getting bit by something. She was such a sweet girl while we tended to her boo-boo and patiently dealt with the uncomfortableness of the swelling. MiMi had another bout with reactions to the rabies vaccine last night and then again, one more time today. We haven’t seen it again since and she is finally back to her playful, lovable self. Flea season hit us this year with avengeon! Battling fleas can be a true double-edged sword. We do our part by treating our yard and applying treatments but the chemicals in those topical treatments don’t always do the job.
