I have been told for many years I need to take notes on judges. Are they tooth fairies (judges that are big own the bite and teeth in the mouth)? Ones that like tinies (for when I show KC). Do they look at movement or are they more into typey dogs? Also, are they political? I have experienced all types of judges but today was a huge lesson in the reality of the sport. Politics are HUGE but man does it suck when they make it glaringly obvious! So obvious that there was a loud gasp from the spectators at the judge’s selections.
Georgie showed the best he had shown all weekend this morning – I mean THE BEST! Please don’t get me wrong – I truly appreciate the Winner’s Dog – It didn’t HAVE to be given. It’s just the reality of how things work can be major blow – But in can make the actual wins that you do get, even that more precious!
On a side note, I truly miss my helper from yesterday. We had major ring conflicts today so I have no photos form today’s journey around the ring.
