We started out with a bang, Dream and I did. We got to the show location and walking away we went. She walked for me, and for many other people! I thin her confidence and mine were raised and with a very early ring time this morning, perhaps the  smaller number of people and dogs made her feel more comfortable. That was until about 1 minute before bred-by bitches were called into the ring.

Someone came and parked their bank of crates filled with very loud Pomeranians and simultaneously as we stepped into the ring, the grooming area that was situated in the same room as our ring kicked into gear with a dog not being very happy about being dried with the blower. Oh yeah – Dream didn’t even take a step today.. The judge was so kind and patient, willing to allow us to try anything to get her to take a step. Poor Dream wasn’t gonna have it – She was totally spooked! So a second 2nd place ribbon has been added to her collection and another show ring experience under her belt. Amazingly, right after the show, she went right back to walking and honestly, it was the best walking she has done thus far! So to be fair, she did experience the worst of the worst possible in the ring today. We ended it again on a positive. So much so that when the show photographer left his signage on the bench near the concession stand, I HAD to grab this photo. It was a Major win in my book!

Rita, Shelly and Jen with Fanny, Pixie Dust and Chris
And speaking of major wins – Rita took day two here at Elkton too. Chris got Winner’s Dog, Pixie Dust got Winner’s Bitch and Best of Winners while Fanny got Best of Breed. Another visit to the Toy Group ring this afternoon – A great way to end the weekend.
