So Cute!
We are all riled up for the Tampa Bay Chihuahua Club Speciality next month. Conformation training aside – I have another project in the works being made specially for the event. At each event the club holds, we also have an auction, with all proceeds going to the club. They have so many great Chihuahua themed items as well as dogs supplies a plenty to bid on. Vicky and I are going in on a very special item for the Speciality – a crate fully loaded with supplies and one of my handmade crate covers, complete with the bumper-pad and pillow. Between puppy poop cleanups, raging female heat blockades and oh yeah – Puppy Poop – I have been at my sewing table, trying to find the perfect solution for my creative dilemma. I made the most adorable doggy dresses that I call “Cocktail Dresses”. I had this retro cocktail party look in mind and that they do deliver! (Yes, I know – I have been a very bad girl and haven’t added them to the Chi Gear section yet! SORRY!) These little guys took the move from their whelping box into the crate and pen perfectly. They discovered their mommy’s doggy bed for a short nap but then crawled right up into the crate to feed from Capri. From that point on, they cuddled and napped in their crate. The puppies are having a hard time maneuvering the crate pillow I have in there and I think I will need to remove a bit of the stuffing to make things easier for them to get in and out. When I created the pillows and crate cover sets, I made pillows with a zipper for when we have puppies. These pillows require washing every day a easy to clean pillow was the ideal solution. My dog harnesses have been flying off the shelves, so much so that I made a huge stockpile to be able to keep up. Since I have received so many orders containing multiple sizes, I thought I best make me some clothing tags to make sizing easier. Well, to know which one is which size that is.
